Square Dancing Events

Considering the spectacular revival of square dancing, it is little surprising that more and more people are interested in finding out more details about the upcoming square dance events in North Carolina.

North Carolina Folk Round & Square Dance Federation organizes such events and competitions among square dance groups. The best known summer square dance event in North Carolina is the Queen City Ball, usually held in August. Because this event is so popular willing participants are advised to register early.

In mid July there's the North Carolina Round Dance Association Clinic, held in West End, North Carolina. This is an annual event and participants who register prior to July usually get included lodging. The fee participants pay is paid to the North Carolina Round Dance association, which is the organizer of the event.

Then, in September, there's the Plus DBD Weekend, the four sessions of this event offer high quality square dance entertainment which is why the event, held in Waynesville, North Carolina is so popular.
