Did you know that not only can you take part in square dancing events and festivals but that in some parts of the country you can actually have a square dancing vacation in great vacation resorts? This must be really great news to all square dancing lovers. The week-long vacation packages include lodging, daily breakfast and daily dinner and of course, full use of the vacation resort and of the amenities. Square dance lovers can spend a week or more in such facilities. All these centers have dance rooms with good dance floors and air conditioning and well reputed dance instructors to guide participants. If you’re not up for a vacation, maybe you’d like to join a festival: there’s the Kansas Square Dance Convention between 3rd and 4th June 2011, the Strawberry Festival in Oregon around the same time, the Colorado State Square Dance Festival on 10th and 11th June and of course the June Jubilee in Noblesville Indiana on 17th and 18th June 2011. Another square dance event takes place in Minnesota on 10th, 11th and 12th June 2011. You surely don’t want to miss the Watermelon Festival in Florida either.
If you interests lie less with dancing and you’re more into bluegrass, you should know that there are bluegrass festival finders on the internet. You can choose the location you’re interested and the period and the software finds it for you. You can even search after the name of your favorite band and find out at what bluegrass festival they are playing. You can find bluegrass festivals, bluegrass music venues and also concerts. Although hotel accommodation is usually available, your first choice might also be camping. You can take your whole family and have a fun weekend.
